CALL TO ARTISTS, January Exhibit (Opening January 7 and running through January 29th).
SIZE
STILL MATTERS: an exhibit featuring large scale work. All work must be
greater than 48" in width and height (48x48 minimum size). This year
the submissions will be juried by Prentiss Cole. Please send me an
email regarding your intent to exhibit, your resume, an artist
statement, along with a .jpeg of the artwork (including size, title,
medium) to be juried no later than November 15, 2010. Notification of
acceptance will be made on November 30th and work will be due at the
gallery ready to hang January 3rd. Works on Canvas will require a $25
exhibition fee and 25% commission on sold work for those pieces accepted
into this exhibit. Please note that all work must be for sale and must remain in the gallery for the entire exhibit. There is no fee for the jury process.

Works
on Canvas rents the front gallery space to artists for 3 week exhibits,
with openings on First Friday Artwalks. Rental fee is $300 with a 20%
commission on all work sold during the course of the exhibit. Artists
are responsible for marketing efforts. Works on Canvas will staff the
gallery. Please contact me with dates of interest and I'll provide you
with a rental contract. $150 non-refundable deposit required at the
time of reserving the space.
Works on Canvas, located at 301 W Holly Street in the Bay Street Village Building next to
Blue Horse Gallery and Trish Harding School of Art,
is a well attended venue and receives more than 200 visitors for the
downtown Bellingham monthly artwalk. All exhibit openings are scheduled
to coincide with the first friday artwalk and artists are encouraged to
be in attendance to meet with the public and talk about their work.
Please note that all work submitted to the gallery for exhibition MUST
BE FOR SALE and must remain in the gallery for the entirety of the

STUDIO/GALLERY HOURS are Tu-Fr, 11 am to 4 pm and first Saturdays 11 am
to 4 pm.
